4-year-old Cora Slocum is the star of the latest ad campaign for children’s footwear brand Livie & Luca. She also happens to have Down’s syndrome.
The Californian cutey was chosen for the campaign after Livie & Lucateamed up with Changing the Face of Beauty – a charity which aims to increase diversity in advertising by encouraging companies to feature children with disabilities in their promotions.
The company was set up Katie Driscoll, a photographer and mother to a daughter with Down’s syndrome daughter.
‘Individuals with disabilities make up the largest minority in the world, yet they’re the least represented in our media,’ explained the mum-of-six.

As for Cora, there’s simply no denying that she has what it takes to model with the best of them.
Talking to The Mighty, Livie & Luca brand director Brittany Suzuki, gushed: ‘During the photo shoot, you could tell Cora was born to shine in front of the camera. Her contagious joy filled the room,’

Meanwhile Livie & Luca’s co-founder, Amie Garcia, told ABC7 News: ‘She’s such a natural… You see her image in our catalogs and she just looks like she was born for it.’
